The Associated Parent Group of Hillsborough is excited to invite Diane W. Frankenstein, M.A., award winning author and educational consultant, to speak to our school community. Her presentation spans all ages from preschool to high school and will include:
• Be ready to make the most of summer time reading: Best practices for reading with children and strategies to prevent the summer slide.
• Book recommendations that speak to both a child’s reading level and emotional readiness for the story.
• Useful tips to make reading with children enjoyable.
• A demonstration of “Conversational Reading”, a successful approach to raising children who love what they read by talking with them about the stories they read.
Following the presentation, Diane’s book, Reading Together will be available for purchase and siging along with a variety of books based on Diane’s recommendations. Open to the public.
